“People say you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone. Truth is, you knew what you had, you just never thought you’d lose it.”
Many of us have experienced pivotal moments during our travels. When you think about a memorable trip, can you still recall the scents?- Remember the sounds? Relive the moment when you just had to stop because of a place being even more remarkable than you could have imagined?
Many of our clients/guests had traveled extensively before turning to self-guided cycling holidays to experience the world in a way only a bike can enable.
Cover more distance than on foot, while discovering new places where cars can not go.
It is a community that has discovered how travel gives perspective, creates memories and makes us more understanding of the world around us.
Right now, travel is not possible but the meaning and impact of travel has never felt more tangible.
Like the opening quote, we probably knew what we had, but we never thought we would lose it.
Collectively, you have thousands of stories to tell. Probably hundreds of thousands of pictures from beautiful places. So many moments that have stayed with you through the years.
Those stories are an immense source of inspiration and comfort in a time when travel is not possible.
Would you consider sharing your favorite stories of your travels in France?
Moments that you have cherished and that others might experience through you.
You can submit your stories by sending them to email at: email@example.com
With your permission, we would like to share those stories with the wider community. (Anonymously if you prefer)
As we enter the second week of quarantine in France, I know I speak for all of us at Discover France when I say, never have we more appreciated the possibility to explore our fantastic world.
Our sincere greetings,
Thomas Boutin – CEO of Discover France
