Your arrival in Oslo marks the beginning of an amazing Nordic adventure. After passing through the gates of the Norwegian capital, a comfortable transfer takes you to Lemonsjoen, a region with preserved landscapes imbued with tranquility. From Vilnius to Kaunas


On your first day, you will travel on a gravel road through wooded Murudalen and along several mesmerizing rivers until you come to the village of Skabu. From there it is not far to your next accomodation.

Distance: 59km (36mi).

Elevation: 750m.

From Ruten to Bygdin


Today you will follow "Jotunheimvegen" cycling from wooded Espedalen towards the mountains above the treeline. You will pass many summer farms along the way and follow the big lake Vinstra. On the horizon you can see the mountains of Jotunheimen and the summit of Bithorn.

Distance : 63km (37mi).

Elevation : 870m.

From Bygdin to Tyinkrysset


Hiking suggestion : Sysnhorn

Sysnhorn is located at 1457m and offers a fantastic view of Jotunheimen. The trail are easy to walk and vary between some soft terrain and more rocky terrain near the top.

Boat : Bygdin to Eidsbugarden

Cruise with the historical M/B Bitihorn over lake Bygdin (1,5 hours).

Cycling frome Eidsbugarden to Tyinkrysset

After you reached Eidsbugarden bu boat you can follow the gravel road to Tyin along big Tyin lake. You can do a detour into Koldedalen grom Tyinholmet crossroad, to come closer to the iconic moutains like Falketinden, Uranostinden and the impressive glaciers along the way. From Tyin you cycle down the paved road to tyinkrysset, where you can find Filefjellstuene.

Distance : 23km (14mi).

Elevation : 400m.

From Tyinkrysset to Syndinstoga


From Tyinkrysset you will follow the main road and partly the "Kingsroad" down to Lake Vangsmjosa. From here you will follow the beautiful lake along steep hillsides until you need to climb again to reach Syndin plateau and Syndinstoga at approx 1000m. This stretch is the most challenging leg of the mjokevegen route.

Distance: 53km (32mi).

Elevation: 974m.

From Syndinstoga to Vaset


A shorter day awaits you and a more lively region with many summer farms, cabins, and farm animals on or along the gravel roads. You will reach today the Vaset region, a very popular cabin region amongst Norwegians.

Distance : 29km (18mi).

Elevation : 423m.

From Vaset To Kamben


From Gomobu, you follow the "Panoramavegen", as the name suggests, it offers panoramic views of the rolling and cultivated landscape of Golsfjellet. Along the way, you have the chance to visit a summer farm and the famous Langestolen café.

Distance : 35km (21mi).

Elevation : 330m.

The Trek Marlin 5 is a versatile hardtail mountain bike designed for beginners and recreational riders. It features a lightweight aluminum frame, a 100 mm front suspension, and a 9-speed Shimano transmission for riding on various terrains. Sturdy and comfortable, it can also be used for daily commutes thanks to its rack and accessory mounts.

The price includes a helmet, a lock, and a repair kit. All pedals are flat.

We highly recommend renting an electric mountain bike on Mjølkevegen. An electric mountain bike offers better management of hills, greater autonomy, increased comfort, accessibility for all ages and fitness levels, and a more relaxed nature experience.

Founded in 1897 (initially under the name "Jotunheim Turisthotell"), it offers an authentic atmosphere blending old-world charm with modern comfort. Right outside the door, numerous hiking trails, high mountain passes, and mountain activities are accessible, both in summer and winter. The lake is served by the traditional boat M/B Bitihorn, and the hotel is a starting point for excursions such as Besseggen, Synshorn, or Bitihorn.
