Alps sweet Alps : Vercors and Annecy lake

Arrive in Autrans by taxi or bus (on your own) and check into your charming hotel near the town centre. Take advantage of the many hiking trails around Autrans or go tobogganing with your family.

Starting from Autrans, you will cross a wooded valley with many hamlets with emblematic architecture of the Vercors and you will be able to visit the first farms of the route to taste the strong local products. After passing through the hamlets of Méaudre, you will come out onto the Méaudret gorges to discover a natural environment developed with a wooden path on stilts to preserve the environment. You will ride in this enchanting setting until Villard-de-Lans where you can take a pleasant break.

With Villard de Lans behind you, drive through woods and fields to Corrençon en vercors, gateway town to the largest nature reserve in France, La Réserve des Hauts Plateaux. Leaving Corrençon en Vercors behind you to head back to Villard de Lans. Don't hesitate to head to the city center where you can enjoy the activity that this active and authentic town has to offer. Then head to Lans en Vercors for a perfectly flat route along the Bourne River and offering a view of all the peaks surrounding the plateau. You can once again enjoy the hospitality of the farms along the way. Once past Lans en Vercors, fields, wooded valleys and typical hamlets are available to you until Saint-Nizier de Moucherotte, then Engins. This section has a few hills, take your time. Think about refueling in Lans en Vercors or Villard de Lans because shops will be scarce afterwards. Finally, a cab will be waiting for you in Engins at 4:30 pm to take you to Grenoble and spend the night there. Don't hesitate to visit the capital of the Alps.

You are free for the morning, you can visit Grenoble or go for a walk.You have an appointment at your hotel at 2:30 pm for your transfer to Annecy. You will enjoy discovering the Venice of the Alps. A true haven of peace, Annecy is an emblem of the French art of living.

Starting from the quai Napoléon III, enjoy 42 kilometers of bike path around the lake, in the middle of the mountains, to discover this very special environment. After a slight hill in Menthon Saint Bernard, you can enjoy a first beach in Talloire, don't forget your towel! The water oscillates between 68 and 75°F. There are many restaurants along the route, take your pick and enjoy a good meal with a great view of the lake and the mountains. Feel free to take advantage of your end of the day to further your visit to the old town of Annecy.

Set off on a bike tour rich in history with the discovery of the château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard, built in the 12th century and still inhabited by the same family. From the quai Napoléon III, head to the town of Alex. You will follow the river of the Fier on a cycling route. You will then have to head to the heights of Bluffy from where you will enjoy the view before you. You will then descend to the chateau which you can visit. As you find the lake bike path to return to Annecy, you can enjoy the beach of Menthon-Saint-Bernard.
