This region of France is also renowned for its dairy products, and the gastronomical delights won't disappoint. In addition to its cider and Calvados, Normandy produces the famous Camembert cheese. You're certain to enjoy this countryside as you bicycle through the green pastures and seaside towns, discovering the history that has made this area so famous.

We are very satisfied with the whole organisation by Discover France. The bikes were of very good quality, with perfect accessories, and the person who delivered them to us was extremely kind and helpful. The hotels chosen were excellent overal ... l: clean, well located and with delicious breakfasts. I particularly liked the room in Mont Saint Michel with its magnificent view of the abbey, as well as the spa in Avranches, a real plus for relaxing after our days on the bike. The route on offer was superb, with a good balance between challenge and pleasure, even if the climb up to Avranches was a little difficult. The weather was pleasant, which made the trip even more enjoyable.

Departure city Ste. Marie du Mont. Take a taxi to the Carentan train station. Trains to Paris St Lazare in 2 hours 30min. Flights between Caen and Paris possible.
**We do not recommend taking this tour around the anniversary of D-Day, June 6th. Hotels fill up very far in advance, there is more traffic on the roads and some of the routes may be closed.
