Our Grand Départ 2026 adventure kicks off in the early afternoon at Barcelona airport or train station, where we’ll meet the group and set off for a 1.5-hour transfer to Girona, a city beloved by professional cyclists from around the world. Nestled in the heart of Catalonia, Girona offers cobbled streets, medieval charm, and a vibrant cycling culture that makes it the perfect base for exploring the region’s legendary climbs.

After a welcome meeting and bike fitting, you’ll have the chance to wander Girona’s picturesque old town or take a short ride on nearby loops to experience the roads favored by pro riders. In the evening, join us for a group dinner at the hotel, where we’ll toast the start of an unforgettable journey through the world of professional cycling and the excitement of the Tour de France Grand Départ.

Today’s loop will take you through the legendary Els Àngels climb, a favorite training route for professional riders, with breathtaking views of the Catalan countryside at every turn.

After an invigorating ride, you’ll have time to relax and explore Girona’s charming streets. In the evening, we’ll transfer to Barcelona to attend the official presentation of the riders, an exclusive opportunity to witness the excitement and pageantry of the Tour de France Grand Départ up close.

In the morning, you’ll head to Barcelona for a unique DDay experience on the Tour de France stage from Tarragona to Barcelona. After arriving and settling into your hotel, you’ll dive straight into the electric atmosphere of the city as it prepares for the Tour.

Your day begins with an exceptional opportunity: you’ll ride the final kilometers of the official stage on the secured course, just hours before the pros. Feel the thrill of rolling through the same streets and crossing the same finish line as the peloton.

At the end of your ride, you’ll even climb onto the official Tour de France podium for a professional photo session, just like the champions.

Once your own stage experience is complete, you’ll take your seat in the VIP Izoard grandstand, where you’ll watch the world’s best riders race toward the finish with premium comfort and unbeatable views.

In the evening, everyone gathers back at the hotel for dinner, sharing impressions and reliving an unforgettable day at the heart of the Tour.

PODIUM-DAY - CROSS THE FINISH LINE

Meeting at the starting point and preparation

We’ll meet in the morning near the Tour route at an easily accessible parking area where you can leave your vehicle, located about 30 km from the finish of the day’s stage. We’ll enjoy a breakfast of pastries and coffee to introduce ourselves to our team and explain the day’s program in detail. We will then adjust the bikes to your body type to ensure you're in the best possible condition.

Experience the stage!

Set off to cover the last 30 to 40 kilometers that separate you from the finish of the stage! Our bike guide will be by your side to accompany and advise you throughout the day, while our van guide will stay at the back of the group, allowing everyone to ride at their own pace and call on assistance if needed.

Crossing the finish line

Realize your wildest dreams and cross the finish line as a Tour de France rider! Like the peloton, you’ll enjoy closed roads for the occasion and have an official car escorting you as you pass the finish line of the day’s stage, cheered on by the crowd already gathered along the roads. Feel free to take photos at the finish line to capture this exceptional moment.

You will then have the incredible privilege of standing on the official Tour de France podium, allowing you to keep a memorable souvenir of this unforgettable day.

Passing of the pro riders

You’ll have time to gather your thoughts while waiting for the peloton of the Tour de France to pass by.

Our guides will have prepared an authentic and delicious picnic close to the finish.

You’ll be right next to the race and can imagine what the riders are experiencing at that moment. At the end of the day, you’ll return to the starting point by bike or van, depending on available routes.

After this unforgettable experience, it will be time to conclude your adventure, with departures back to Barcelona’s airport or train station, taking with you memories of an incredible journey through the heart of the Grand Départ.

On-site, you can follow the preparations and the excitement leading up to the start, thanks to giant screens broadcasting live images, interviews, and real-time commentary. You'll have the opportunity to watch the riders prepare for the day’s stage, witness the team presentations and their riders - a key moment when they sign the start sheet before heading off into the race.

Feel free to step outside the start village to witness the grand departure of the publicity caravan.

The Start Village is also the stage for various activities: explore the Tour de France sponsors' stands, participate in contests/lotteries, collect exclusive goodies and taste regional specialties offered at the stands.
