This Provence itinerary offers a pleasant combination of city life with the visit of Avignon and Arles, and countryside and village experiences. You will start and finish your tour in Avignon where you can visit the Avignon Bridge and Palais des Papes. In summer, Avignon is also home to the famous Festival d’Avignon, a concentration of innovating theatrical performances. You then carry on to Pont du Gard, an impressive Roman aqueduct still intact, the villages of Uzes and Tarascon, before cycling to Arles. This old Roman city has an extraordinarily well-preserved Roman arena and an antique amphitheater. After more countryside and a stop in St Rémy de Provence, where you can enjoy the view of the hilly Baux de Provence, your trip in Provence will end the way it started: in Avignon!

Everything was well organized and explained to us during the orientation. The luggage transfers were fantastic, we never had to wait for the luggage to arrive. The hotels were stunning! We especially loved the hotels in Uzes and Saint Remy. The ... se two towns were our favorites that we styed over. The routes were very clear and easy to cycle on. The quiet country roads between the orchards, vineyards, forests and old farm houses were lovely, we really enjoyed stopping for a quick coffee at the small villages/ towns. And the people were very friendly. This was one of the most memorable holidays we ever had, and will definitely do another trip with Discover France.

We are back in Avignon again. Hotels have been excellent, Hotel des Patio Violette and Les Figueres were outstanding. Quiet, clean, well-appointed, comfy beds and linen with very helpful staff. Swimming pools at these properties were a real bonu ... s. The Amphitheatre Hotel in Arles is a great choice, being so close to that unique historical site. We've had a wonderful time,
